It takes guts to recognize a dream bubbling inside of yourself and to follow that dream to victory, despite all "realistic" notions of what's possible.
It takes guts to be gracious in defeat and to trust the journey, however unknown the road ahead.
It takes guts to come together, despite differences, and work as a united team across a country and a globe.
It takes guts to get up each day and believe that we, somehow, hold in the palm of our hands the ability to make a difference. By swinging a hammer. Embracing an enemy. Applauding voices in the darkness.
Here's to guts. May we all have them in spades to face the challenges ahead.
